Here we are, finally…. in the new year and January is here. That said, it’s still Winter in the northern hemisphere, and it isn’t quite time to launch anything yet.
Rather, best to take advantage of this seasonal quiet time and nurturing energy to germinate all those new ideas for the coming year.
First Quarter moons are ideal for taking some kind of action, and in this season, preparing for the Spring in some way. This could mean getting involved with clean-up efforts to make room for all the new coming, but also doing some kind of vision work.
Creating a New Year’s dream collage is an excellent project to consider doing now or another craft, like sewing, needlework, or maybe some kind of fabric magic.
Embolc or “Groundhog Day” is coming up in February, and will be bringing us the first real inkling of what’s wanting to be born next very soon.
Brigid, the Goddess best known for this Sabbat, presides over smithcraft, (metal work) healing, and poetry as well as re-birth. Food for thought.
So wherever your interests lie, take advantage of this special January time to go deeply with-in and dream about what it is you truly love and enjoy.
I have renewed my longtime interest in making natural perfume and also herbal tea craft. Both are creative healing arts for me.
It is also not a bad idea to have some healthy distractions anyway. Instead of watching the news or scrolling social media for example, isn’t it better to see progress made under your own hands?
Reading is another wonderful activity. After finally deciding to allow myself to read fiction, I find it’s a new favorite pastime. Curling up with a cuppa tea and a well-written story that takes me away to new places is so delightful.
Another pertinent activity that most of us want to engage in now is PLANNING.
It is an action all by itself and one that will serve us greatly during the coming months.
By now, I hope you have checked out the Goddess Seasonal Planner I created for you. You can start it any time.
Blessings for a Gorgeously healthy year!
