As we get ready for the wheel to turn once again at the upcoming Fall Equinox, the shadows grow longer and we can begin to prepare ourselves for the darker days ahead.
The new moon and partial solar eclipse in Virgo just before Mabon, will give us a unique opportunity to reflect on what has the most heart and meaning for us at this time.
Pull out your journal and contemplate the wisdom you’ve already received this year.
- What were your intentions at the beginning of the year?
- What has manifested for you so far?
- What has changed?
- Add any victories big or small.
Since we’re still in the Libra mansion most of this month, it signals us to also focus on what needs balancing in our lives.
How can you bring about more balance in your personal life? Family life? Finances or any other area that has been calling for your attention?
It is time to set some new intentions and fully enjoy closing out this next phase of the year.
The teacher is the archetype for this season. Calling upon the wisdom of our ancestors may help us release old destructive family patterns. This is also a time to let go of the need to judge, control, or know everything. Quiet the harsh inner critic.
Notice where you take yourself too seriously or hold yourself too rigidly. Instead, invite in flexibility.
Try using a cauldron of herbal moon water, a pot of soup, or even a cup of tea to stir your feelings into the present moment. Reflect: Where could I soften, flow, and trust my inner guidance more fully?
Gather wisdom like the squirrels gather acorns.
Refresh and renew your altar or fireplace mantle with the season’s beauty.
Go out and collect branches, leaves, pine cones, fruits, acorns and any of the glorious colors that represent autumn. Bring out some more candles and arrange them to suit you.
Sweep leaves and cobwebs from your thresholds, place a fall wreath on your door and put out some fresh mums or marigolds where you will see them.
Your Goddess is ready for a new check list. Blessed be. OOXX
