Yesterday’s blue full moon in Aquarius makes an already intense time a bit easier as far as cooling down any drama goes. Aquarius’s calm and detached persona tempers Leo’s sometimes arrogant flair for dramatics.
Maybe it is time for an attitude adjustment.
Polarity is part of life and this is a great time to look at all the contradictions showing up and adopt a “both/and” philosophy as opposed to strictly “either/or” thinking.
Where we choose to direct our thoughts and energy may seem simple enough but is not always easy when the people in our lives are not acting the way we want them to.
Look for an opposite scenario and learn to develop your skills in mindset flipping, which can create a much more positive outlook and outcome for you. For example, if your spouse has been hyper-critical of you lately, what do they need from you or themselves that they might be feeling insecure about?
Remember Mercury is still playing tricks in retrograde so the power of your thoughts should not be underestimated.
What are you doing these days to stay grounded and centered? Are you tending to your own needs first?
After all, these are the precious last days of Summer. What have you been longing for?
Make a list of current desires and be careful not to fall into obstacle thinking. Challenges are invitations for growth so don’t get too hung up on the details or negative thinking patterns.
Full moon periods are excellent for release work so if there are people you need to forgive or have other stuff you need to let go of, use this full moon to assist you.
Consider some other kinds of rituals that may feel more suitable for you now.
Judika Illes talks about “Glory Water” on this day in August in her book, “Daily Magic”.
Glory water is based on orange blossom. Neroli hydrosol is ideal but you could make a similar version with a few drops of orange essential oil added to a sprayer bottle filled with some water that you have infused under the full moon.
Orange is an uplifting happy fragrance for most people.
So even though orange is a winter fruit, the sunshine scent is delightful in summertime and it’s an easy way to help flip your mindset if things aren’t going the way that you planned. The oils of orange and neroli are both in my “ground” portal oil formula.
Another idea is to simply slice up some oranges and make a lovely orange-flavored water to drink throughout the day.
Do feel free to come up with a special “glory” libation of your own that involves oranges.
